- ➤ At around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Flying Dragon’s Pole Vault Club in Normal was robbed at a junior Olympic competition in Texas—thieves stole custom vaulting poles, personal belongings, and a 2021 Chevy Silverado valued at over $50,000. - ➤ McLean County Regional Planning Commission held a public meeting Tuesday at Heartland Community College where about 20 residents and officials raised concerns about a draft land use plan that shows future industrial growth on the outskirts of Normal and Bloomington—critics said the plan was released with little public input.
