GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Town of Normal announced Chippewa Street in the Savannah Green subdivision will be closed at 6 a.m. Monday, June 2 for reconstruction as part of ongoing road repairs. Drivers are advised to avoid the area—residents with parking, garbage, or mail delivery issues will receive direct notification from the town. City of Normal
- ➤ A homeless encampment for five residents on property owned by the water reclamation district will be cleared by June 1 as the district begins a sewer reconstruction project early next month—Home Sweet Home Ministries is working to move the residents to a new shelter village near its Bloomington campus.
