➤ ISU athletics announced on December 23 a record-breaking $2.5 million gift from an anonymous former quarterback that will boost recruiting for the football program in Normal—its largest contribution ever. ➤ Illinois State will play in the championship game on Monday, Jan. 5 in Nashville. Fans in Bloomington-Normal can join watch parties or buy tickets and travel packages including a bus ride from Normal to Nashville, with orders due by 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29. WGLT
