- ➤ The Normal Fire Department concluded its investigation into the mobile home fire at 867 2nd Street in Northmeadow Village on Nov. 2 that claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy by finding that candles ignited combustible materials and urges residents to keep flames away from flammable items. - ➤ A Hanukkah ceremony was held at Illinois State University where a rabbi said the celebration embodied love, togetherness, and resilience—values that offered light as the community mourned those killed in Sydney, Australia. The Pantagraph
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ District 87 Board of Education approved a $60M tax levy that is $4M higher than last year, while tax rates are expected to drop. The Pantagraph
