Connect Transit is asking for baby supplies for its 23rd annual Stuff the Bus event—local families in need may benefit from community donations as the drive unfolds.

McLean County’s Toys for Tots program marked 25 years by helping 130,000 kids and collecting 28,000 toys worth over $500,000 last year as volunteers prepare for the Christmas season.

Roy Magnuson, director of the new Adaptive Edge Institute at Illinois State University, said college classes must change to use generative AI to boost learning.

The institute launched in August and is testing new methods that help teachers give quick feedback to students.

CEFCU’s board approved a record $55 million Extraordinary Dividend that was deposited on Dec 2 into savings and debit accounts for members in good standing—this payout matches last year’s record and is part of $565 million in dividends returned over 25 years.
