- ➤ In downtown Bloomington, the McLean County Museum of History opened a Warming Fence on Oct. 30 to share handmade winter items with those in need. Senior director Candace Summers said local knitters and crocheters have donated at least 40 items so far and the program will continue throughout winter — keeping local residents warm. - ➤ Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe said on November 5 that artificial intelligence will shape its electric vehicles and self-driving features as the company plans to launch a mid-sized R2 SUV built at the Normal plant. He added the firm will host an autonomy day on Dec. 11 to show off the new technology — a move that aims to offer smarter, more consumer-friendly cars. WGLT
