- ➤ Teen Logan Moran (15) from Normal led a two-year project at Wish Bone Canine Rescue to build a new Rainbow Bridge Memorial that gives pet owners a place to honor lost pets. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Normal’s Human Relations Commission announced that a Social Equity Summit will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Astroth Community Education Center at Heartland Community College from 9 a.m. to noon to discuss housing equity and housing justice — Prairie State Legal Services and Home Sweet Home Ministries will lead the conversations while free admission and pre-registration are encouraged. - ➤ Beginning 6:00 a.m. on October 2, Camelback Bridge and the portion of the Constitution Trail underneath will be closed for maintenance while East Virginia Avenue and West Virginia Avenue are also partially closed; work will finish by 5:00 p.m. on October 3—drivers should use caution and plan alternate routes.
