- ➤ McLean County Animal Services opened its new 11,000-square-foot facility in Shirley on Friday to provide better care for 60 dogs and 80 cats—county officials noted the building’s modern features include a state-of-the-art filtration system, improved sanitation, and ADA-compliant design. - ➤ Farmer and Carroll County Board chair Julie Bickelhaupt announced her bid for Rep. Sorensen’s seat in the 17th district, saying she will lower costs, support farmers and strengthen education.
