- ➤ Bloomington police closed off an area after a man allegedly fled a traffic stop with a handgun at the intersection of East Front and South Clayton streets at 6:25 p.m. Friday, June 27 — after a man matching the suspect’s description entered a business, officers located a handgun near his last known position and later reopened traffic when they determined he was not the person they were seeking. - ➤ 19-year-old Emir Thomas remains in McLean County Jail after his June 24 arrest in Chicago for a shooting at ISU’s Bone Student Center on April 27—he faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery by discharging a firearm, and unlawful handgun possession with his arraignment set for July 18. 25 News Now

- ➤ Nomad Theatre Company announced its 2025-26 season with plays staged in unique local settings including a historic courthouse and an alpaca farm barn—opening with the 'Order in the Court' series.
