EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Four teachers from McLean County Unit 5 urged a ban on cellphones during Wednesday’s board meeting because high use distracted high school students, and the board discussed enforcing the policy as part of the FY25 budget—aiming to create clearer rules for classroom cellphone use. The Pantagraph
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Pritzker signed many bills on Monday that change Illinois laws—delaying the fee ban on banks until July 1, speeding up FOID card reviews, and adjusting Medicaid, hospital assessments, taxes and the state budget.
