- ➤ The Illinois legislature passed House Bill 1226 that will raise the driving exam age from 79 to 87 and allow family members to report unsafe drivers. Gov. Pritzker may sign the bill so it takes effect on July 1 and it is expected to affect about 348,000 Illinois motorists. Cities 92.9
