- ➤ YMCA has launched mobile swim lessons + water safety outreach in the community. The program will bring safe, accessible instruction to local neighborhoods and community centers. The Pantagraph
- ➤ Illinois lawmakers have introduced a bill that lets teachers challenge warnings for minor policy violations (Senate passed it last month), though critics worry it may hide patterns of misconduct. The bill awaits a vote in the House. WGLT
- ➤ Unit 5's school board approved a $180,000, three-year contract with ParentSquare on Wednesday to replace older systems and save $28,212 in costs for next school year (parents will soon receive notifications via text, email, app, and web with support for over 190 languages). WGLT
