- ➤ A man is recovering after being shot Sunday night at the Bone Student Center — police said his injuries were non-life-threatening and that the investigation is ongoing with possible additional arrests. WJBC

- ➤ Emily Bollinger is a digital producer at WGLT who now directs photography, videography and digital content—she first worked there as a graduate assistant and intern before joining permanently. WGLT
- ➤ Longtime Pantagraph photo editor David Proeber—who retired in 2022—will open his new fine art photography exhibit Visions Curses Blessings at McLean County Arts Center from May 2 to June 6. He will host a reception and book launch on May 2 from 5 to 7 p.m., presenting 21 photos that show women expressing their religious identity by drawing on biblical inspiration. The Pantagraph

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Illinois General Assembly is reviewing a bill that lets people sue over threatening flyers on private property following a recent antisemitic flyer incident in Bloomington-Normal—State Rep. Sharon Chung co-sponsored the measure while critics say it may misuse free speech rights. State Rep. Dave Vella, who now leads the effort, plans to amend the vague language and will meet with groups to decide if the bill will be revived this session or later. WGLT
