GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Weather permitting, work on the College Avenue and Landmark Drive Intersection Improvements will start the week of April 28 and will add new traffic signals, an extra westbound left turn lane from College to Mall Drive, pavement patching, and asphalt resurfacing. Mall Drive south of Plaza Drive to Mall Loop Road will be closed for about six weeks as the project is expected to finish by October 31 (final date). City of Normal
- ➤ The Town of Normal Parks and Recreation will celebrate Arbor Day and its Tree City USA designation with two educational programs scheduled for April 25 and April 26—one featuring a tree planting and presentation by Tyler Bain for Glenn Elementary students and one hosting free Tree Talks on tree species—designed to educate residents about tree care and the value of trees.
