- ➤ Gov. JB Pritzker is leading a 70-member trade mission to Mexico today with economic leaders from Peoria and McLean County who will discuss improvements in agriculture, food processing, finance — and manufacturing as U.S. tariffs on Mexican goods loom. The delegation will work to boost ties with a market that saw over $32 billion in trade with Illinois in 2024. 25 News Now

- ➤ Former state Rep. Dan Brady said he plans to run for mayor, relying on 20 years of government work to tackle housing, water and budget challenges. - ➤ Normal and East Peoria police have announced a Distracted Driving Awareness Month campaign that will begin in April to curb phone use while driving. The campaign — supported by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police, and over 200 local agencies — will include increased enforcement efforts after 58 lives were lost to distracted driving in 2023.
