Gas prices in central Illinois have climbed to above $4 a gallon, up 34 cents from last week, as reported by GasBuddy (which monitored 148 stations) amid seasonal demand and supply concerns.

Normal Community High School seniors Tommy Wade and Ryan Robinson started Club Pancake last year to serve free pancakes to students each month.
🏛️ Government
Illinois lawmakers passed Senate Bill 1486 in the House (requiring insurers to give consumers a 60-day notice for rate hikes over 10% and granting the Department of Insurance expanded oversight) and the bill now returns to the Senate as officials address rising premium concerns.
State Farm Insurance warned that new insurance rules could lead to higher auto and homeowners' rates if Senate Bill 1486 becomes law.
The House passed the bill last week, and it now moves to the Senate for further review.
