- ➤ Derek Siebring pleaded guilty in McLean County court to first-degree murder and aggravated battery for killing Jamere Bew near Funks Grove in 2023 and will serve a 65-year sentence as well as a 3-year sentence—while cases for his co-defendants remain pending. WGLT

- ➤ Friday night, Chicago band Daisychain performed at Jazz UpFront for $10–$15 while a free streaming documentary on workplace equity began at Illinois Libraries Present and Bloomington Public Library and runs until midnight Sunday.
