- ➤ Rivian announced a partnership with Uber that will bring up to 50,000 self-driving R2 robotaxis to the streets over the next several years; the plan—starting with 10,000 rides in San Francisco and Miami in 2028—will boost hiring in Normal as milestones trigger its $1.25 billion investment. WGLT
- ➤ State Farm will close its Corporate Headquarters and Illinois Operations Center in Bloomington by the end of 2027 as it consolidates its workforce inside the Corporate South building — a change prompted by growing unused space. The Pantagraph
