  • The CreatiVets art show at Heartland Community College honored late Marine Corps veteran Nancy Benedict with works by her fellow veterans. A free reception was held Tuesday and the exhibit remains in the Joe McCauley Gallery (room 2507) until March 6.  25 News Now

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The YWCA of McLean County closed its Labyrinth Made Goods job incubator + redirected state grant funding to expand its reentry program for clean energy job training for formerly incarcerated individuals, while offering remaining products at discounted prices in select local stores.  WGLT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Heartland Community College received over $20,000 in robotic landscaping equipment donated by Reinhart Landscaping + Kress. The new tools will help Technical Education students train with the same technology used by professional landscapers.  WGLT

  • U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin and former Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will kick off the Democracy Dialogues series at ISU to discuss civic engagement in the community.  The Pantagraph

  • Bloomington-Normal home sales fell 5.9% in 2025 with new home sales dropping more than 35% amid a tight supply, local broker Ed Neaves noted (citing ongoing bidding wars and persistent cash offers) during a recent housing conference.  WGLT
