On Aug. 16, 2025, families visited Rader Family Farms in Normal for the first day of the Sunflower Days Festival, enjoying 19 kinds of sunflowers, a zinnia field shaped like a butterfly, and interactive activities—an effort to bring people outdoors away from screens. The four-day festival, which started during the COVID-19 pandemic, offered a simple way for residents to reconnect with nature and enjoy quality time together.
